1. Sacred Participation
By joining an Amara Sanctuary retreat, you agree to enter this container with openness, respect, and integrity. Our retreats are sacred spaces designed for personal transformation and healing. Each participant takes full responsibility for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being before, during, and after the retreat.
2. Eligibility & Intake
Participation is by application only. All applicants must be 18 years or older and complete our intake process to ensure safety and alignment. Honest disclosure of medical conditions, medications, and psychological history is required. Amara Sanctuary reserves the right to decline participation if we believe it would not be safe or aligned for the applicant or the group field.
3. Booking & Payment
Your spot is confirmed once the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due by the date specified in your confirmation email. Payments can be made by approved methods (e.g., bank transfer, card, or Wise). Spaces are limited and secured on a first-come basis.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- If you cancel more than 30 days before the retreat start date, any balance paid (excluding the deposit) is refundable.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the start date are non-refundable.
- If Amara Sanctuary cancels or reschedules, your payments (including deposit) will be refunded in full or you may choose to transfer to another date.
No credits or vouchers are issued unless explicitly agreed in writing.
5. Safety, Contraindications & Responsibility
Our facilitators are trained to hold space with professionalism and care; however, this work can involve emotional and physical challenge. You agree to follow facilitator guidance at all times and to act responsibly within the ceremonial container. Certain medications and conditions may be incompatible with participation; we may require medical clearance and reserve the right to modify or decline participation for safety.
Medicines may include Ayahuasca, Bufo Alvarius, San Pedro (Wachuma), Niño Santos (Sacred Mushrooms), and Cacao, offered in a ceremonial context with reverence, music, and prayer.
6. Confidentiality & Privacy
All experiences shared within the retreat are held in confidence. Recording or sharing others’ stories without explicit consent is not allowed. We may document moments for internal purposes or community memory only with consent. Please review our Privacy & Cookie Policies for details on data handling.
7. Code of Conduct
Participants agree to act with respect toward facilitators, staff, and fellow participants; maintain boundaries; and refrain from disruptive or inappropriate behavior. We reserve the right to remove any participant who jeopardizes safety or harmony; no refunds will be due in such cases.
8. Photos, Video & Other Media
We honor privacy. Any photography or filming by Amara Sanctuary will occur only with collective awareness and consent, and usage will be limited to agreed purposes (e.g., community memory or marketing where permission is granted). You may opt out of being photographed or filmed.
9. Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing appropriate travel and health insurance that covers retreat participation, cancellation, medical care, and travel interruptions. You are responsible for any costs related to medical care, travel changes, or other unforeseen events.
10. Injury
You acknowledge that you are responsible for any medical costs incurred due to injury or illness during the retreat. Amara Sanctuary is not liable for losses or damages arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or misconduct.
11. Medical Care
We do not provide medical services. In the event medical attention is required, you consent to receive such care and accept full financial responsibility. We maintain local emergency contacts and basic first-aid readiness.
12. Personal Property
You are responsible for your personal belongings throughout the retreat. Amara Sanctuary and venue partners are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
13. Retreat Property
Participants are responsible for any damage to property caused by negligence, misuse, or willful action and agree to cover associated costs.
14. Force Majeure
Amara Sanctuary shall not be liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, governmental actions, or other extraordinary circumstances.
15. Legal Disclaimer
All retreats are conducted in accordance with local laws (e.g., Mexico, Peru). Amara Sanctuary operates as a spiritual and educational organization, not a medical institution. Plant medicines are offered in ceremonial contexts for healing and self-inquiry; they are not medical treatments.
